January and February Fun

We have had such a cold winter that we have to stay indoors all the time.  Everyone kept telling us that Indiana's winters are horrible and last winter was very mild.  I was pleased and thought everyone was over reacting.  This winter is horrible.  Single digit temps and negative temps with the wind chill factor.

Maxwell is now a cub scout and has enjoyed working on his merit badges.  It only took him a week to earn his Bobcat badge and now he is working on his Wolf Badge.  For one of his requirements he was supposed to help plan, cook and serve a meal to the family.  He chose to make mini pizza with Rhoade's Rolls dough and of course Mallory had to be involved as well. They had fun together.

Maxwell participated in a book parade around his school. The kids and I went and watched him walk past us twice, dressed as a baseball player in a book he had just read.

Matt and Max went on a boy's outing and toured the Niel Armstrong engineering building on campus.

What do you do with the kids when it is below freezing outside? Put on their swimsuits and "swim" in the jacuzzi bathtub.  We made boats out of legos to see who can make one that would float.

Mallory on her first day back to school after winter break.  She is such a cute girl!
Mom and Dad date night. Wonderful dinner spent with my Valentine!

So fun to catch up on what you guys have been doing. I love all the pictures. Sorry I haven't called in sooo long. I will and I want to. I feel like the last 6 months have just kicked my bottom. :) and the winter was just hard for me too. Anyway, love you guys! I miss your kids and you so much. I'll call you.

Max looks so big! Wow, it's amazing how fast kids grow.
