While Matt has 2 1/2 weeks off of school we decided to go on a mini-vacation to Indianapolis. We were going to leave Friday but with all of the tornadoes and bad weather we decided to leave Saturday morning. We spent the day at the Indianapolis Children's Museum which was awesome. It is only an hour away so we decided to become members so that we can go as many times as we can for the next year. They claim that is the largest children's museum and even though I have only been to two others I would have to agree, IT IS HUGE! We couldn't even see all of the exhibits in one day and we will have to go back to see the other exhibits. Max was super excited to see the Lego exhibit but it doesn't open until this weekend. They switch out the exhibits so often you need to go every few months just to be able to see everything. Mallory really enjoyed the Barbie exhibit and Clay was just glad to tag along.
We were able to stay at a JW Marriott, a super sweet hotel, thanks to Priceline, and really enjoyed our stay. In addition to the cheap price we paid for the hotel, Matts platinum elite status at Marriott got us all of the perks. Not to mention we were right across the street from the Lucas Oil stadium which is where the Colts play and where the Superbowl was held this year. Matt and Max thought it was so cool. We could have imagined what a crazy party that hotel was during the superbowl. The hotel was taller than the stadium and had an awesome view.
Sunday morning we visited the NCAA Hall of Champions for a short time and then headed home. We were really impressed with Indianapolis and look forward to visiting the city again.
