We were able to spend New Years in Minneapolis with Adam and Kathleen and their three girls. It was a really, really long drive up there but worth it to be able to spend a week with them. They have a beautiful house nestled in the woods in one of the coldest places I have ever been. Matt and I have officially declared our family to be a warm weather family. We used to say we would go wherever the jobs take us but now we will only go where the jobs are in areas that are warm. The 11-hour drive home was even worse than the 11-hour drive there. We all had turns getting the stomach flu while in Minnesota and Mallory's turn was on the drive home. Or she could have been super carsick. It does not make me look forward to this summer and all of the long car drives we have ahead of us.
We celebtrated Maxwell's 7th birthday in Minnesota and we had a family outing to the Mall of America and stopped by the Acquarium they have inside the mall. This is the biggest mall ever, you could never shop the whole mall in one day. They even have an indoor amusement park in the center court with full-size rollercoasters.
Max and Lena loved the Lego store at Mall of America.
Our New Years Eve Party
We had Chocolate Cake in ice cream cones. It was a fun idea.

Great pictures! Sean and I recently decided we'd like to have all the seasons. :) The thought of moving south makes me a little sad. Probably because Sara LOVES the snow so much.
We loved having you guys. Lena wrote a story in school about her adventures with Max, and Clare still talks about it.
