Mallory bought an Easy-bake oven from Goodwill for graduating from preschool. It is such a fun activity to do together. Here she made mini cookies.
This was the storm in April that caused massive flooding all over the country. This was the elementary and junior high school behind our house. I am taking this photo from our window in our dining room. It was pretty scary. Lots of people had major flooding. The river that runs through the middle of the city, the Wabash River, is still flooded and flooded a golf course that runs along side the river.
This was at a movie theater for girls day out to see The Crood's
In early May our house was attacked by a swarm of honeybees. There were thousands of them swarming around our house. It was very scary for children and adults. We didn't know what to do, we couldn't go outside, we didn't know who to call. After a little while they decided to make a home on a branch in one of the trees.
A friend of one of our neighbors decided to approach the bees and spray with bee spray that they were using to kill the Carpenter Bees making homes in the wood on our houses. We thought he would sure be attacked by the swarm and were ready to call 911. They didn't attack him however and after he sprayed them they decided this was not a suitable home for bees so they broke apart and swarmed off to scare another family. We were pleased that they left.
