Mangum Family Reunion 2010

The Mangum Family Reunion was held over the 4th of July in San Antonio, Texas. We enjoyed 3 days at Sea World, visiting the Alamo, Fort Houston and downtown San Antonio. The best part of the trip was hanging out at the house where we could talk and laugh with each other. All Maxwell and Mallory wanted to do was play with their cousins.

Our flight down to Texas was actually enjoyable compared to our nightmare flight home. Matt and I have sworn off airplanes for awhile.

Mallory and Clare - The two youngest girl cousins getting acquainted with each other at the San Antonio airport.
Lena and Maxwell seeing each other after two years.

The cousins waiting to enter Sea World on our first visit. They were all looking forward to seeing the animals.
Mallory was excited for her first visit to Sea World until she actually had to see the animals and then she turned into grumpy Mallory. She is not a big fan of animals in general. Any animal, you name it. If it has eyes, she won't go anywhere near it. It made for some interesting few days at Sea World where everywhere you turn there are animals staring at you in the eyes.

The first ride of the day for Maxwell and Jake.
Maxwell enjoyed climbing around on the nets and obstacle courses. Even some of the adults enjoyed racing each other to the top.
Back at the house we spent all of our time hanging out with the cousins just like Mallory and Bria are doing. BFFE!

The second day Matt and Max and the gang went on the Atlantis ride. Maxwell's exact words, "That was not awesome!"

Don/Dede enjoyed playing action figures with 3 of his granddaughters.

Visiting the Alamo for the first time. Much different than I expected but still cool. One more thing I get to check off my list of cool places I want to see.

We enjoyed our time with family in Texas and missed the ones who couldn't make it. We already miss them. It's not as fun to come home after a week with all of your cousins. See you in 2012 if not sooner!

looks like a lot of fun. I think we should get Mallory and Matthew together...they have a lot in common.
