Happy Halloween 2011

We were so excited for Halloween around here.  After a month of sickness and missing Dad it was fun to be well and be able to spend so much time with Matt.  Both Max and Mallory were looking forward to dressing up and trick-or-treating.  Max made sure Mallory knew how to trick-or-treat since they would be doing it together for the first time.  She did a great job and knew when to say "trick-or-treat", "Happy Halloween" and "Thank You".  When we would practice here at the house with our candy, she would always end up telling us that the candy we gave her wasn't good enough and she wanted a different one.  Or she would walk away with her candy and then come back and ask for more.  We told her that she can't do that on the real Halloween day.

 Two out of the five trick-or-treaters we had all night. We live in a secluded small neighborhood with not much around us except cornfields and the Purdue students mostly occupy the other homes. 

 A homemade craft idea I got from Pinterest that the kids had fun creating.

 We love our home and were so excited to have so much space to decorate for the holidays this year. Our Halloween decorations that the kids enjoyed since no other kids got to see it.  I hope those Purdue students that drove past my house everyday on their way to and from school appreciated all the work that we put in to make it a festive home.

Notice the caution tape on the garage and the body lines on the driveway as if we had a crime scene on our hands.  We all enjoyed laying down on the dirty driveway and get our body drawn.
