Virginia had record snow fall in December. It snowed 2 ft. in 2 days. We tried to enjoy it since that we haven't experienced very much snow while living in VA. Usually only a few inches a year but this was incredible. We went out every couple of hours to shovel the snow so that at the end of the storm we wouldn't be shoveling all 2 ft. of it. Max loved it most of all. We didn't get Mallory in it this time. Maybe next year. Church, school and work were closed for the days following the storm.

This is about all Mallory and I did while the boys were outside. Hung out and ate snacks.

Matt has some hats that were
souvenirs from his mission in Ukraine and they wore them outside to play/work in the snow. Matt says only drunk people in Ukraine wear the flaps down but Max didn't care. It was too cold not to have the flaps down.
The deepest part on the table measured 2 ft.

The first attempt at shoveling. We ended up going out 4 more times throughout the snowstorm.

Matt wouldn't put his flaps down, he was scared someone might think he was drunk. I think they look cool both ways. I love this picture of them in the snow.
